The video shows the numerical simulation of bloodstream flow in coronary artery with drug-eluting stents implanted to reduce buildup of fat deposition. The simulation was made using the Finite Element method and an unstructured triangular mesh and high order interpolation. The results reveal an interesting drug diffusion dynamics after the fat deposition that may change blood viscosity in a long-term period.
